Dental Board sets new fees

The Dental Board of Australia has this week announced the national registration fee for dental practitioners for the year ahead. Covering the registration period from December 1, 2015 until November 30, 2016, the fee will apply from September 9, 2015 and includes practitioners whose principal place of practice is NSW.

The fees are outlined as below:

-Dentists and specialists: $610
-Dental prosthetists: $542
-Dental hygienists and therapists: $391

Funded by practitioners’ registration fees, the Dental Board of Australia’s primary focus is on developing national registration standards, codes, policies and guidelines for the profession, helping to protect the public by ensuring all Australian practitioners are adequately qualified and experienced.
