The ACFF (Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future) is offering a number of grants to help fund selected community projects. In 2017, the ACFF is offering a total of $50,000 to finance projects that will ultimately help communities develop and implement strategies for caries prevention and management.

The grants, which are sponsored by Colgate, are valued from $2,000 to $20,000, and help recipients who might otherwise struggle to get a project off the ground.

Describing last year’s grant winners, Dr Sue Cartwright from Colgate said, “It is great to see the wide variety of topics the studies are investigating; from teenagers to the elderly, from dietary advice in dental practice to the oral health messages and knowledge base of other professionals such as pharmacists and paediatricians.”

To apply for a grant, applicants must complete an application form. These can be obtained by emailing susan_cartwright@colpal.com. Applications are open from 1 October until 1 November 2016.
