New oral health advocate community established

Colgage Advocates for Oral Health

This year’s World Oral Health Day 2020 on 20 March marked the launch of a newly established group, The Colgate Advocates for Oral Health: Editorial Community, a collaboration of emerging young oral health professionals.

The establishment of this editorial community aims to provide young oral health professionals with insight driven articles covering a range of topics.

The content will focus on preventive oral health supported by practical information for young professionals to employ during university studies right through to the practice setting. Advocates will drive dialogue on a wide variety of topics including preventive oral health, practice management, social responsibility, career development and sustainable dentistry, to name a few.

The Colgate Advocates for Oral Health have appointed six community members with representation from around Australia.

“The newly established community, enabled by Colgate Professional, is an important initiative to help support young professionals,” said Dr Sue Cartwright, scientific affairs manager, Colgate Professional.

“The community’s collective voice will provide peer-to-peer insights for young oral health practitioners, spark new ideas and encourage young oral health professionals in their career development.

“The community understands the challenges ‘new recruits’ may be facing and this initiative provides a valuable resource for them.”

Working with Colgate, the Advocates’ articles will be published on and shared via the Advocates’ social channels.
