There’s your standard dental clinics and then there’s dental clinics like this one that are designed and built to stand out.
Dr Nisheeth Agrawal has set a new precedence in the Hunter Region with his state-of-the art dental clinic, Tooth N’ Care, opening its doors in late 2021.
After careful consideration, local companies Skelcon and Space Design Architecture (SDA) were approached by Dr Agrawal to design and build this dream clinic.
It was evident that Dr Agrawal was not looking for your typical dental clinic, but rather something innovated, which was fresh, inviting, and focused on the patient experience. Working with the fabric of the existing space, the new clinic introduces a bold monochromatic palette to create an urban industrial feel. The use of the cyan features throughout references the Tooth N’ Care brand, whilst adding a minty freshness to the fit-out and creating a sense of calm and comfort within the space. Lighting plays a big part in the client experience, providing practical accent lighting in the “consult zones” and subtle ambient lighting throughout. This further enhances the mood, whilst offering comfort and warmth for the patients.
The building came with its own existing structural challenges. Skelcon & SDA worked through these issues in consultation with Dr Agrawal, ensuring the fit-out was executed within the projected time frame. The close working relationship between client, architect and builder attributed to the successes of this new age dental practice.
“Dentistry is always evolving, there are always efficiencies that can be made,” Dr Agrawal said. High quality equipment were essential inclusions to the practice, including A-dec chairs and the Sirona Cerec machine.
