gorilla floss

What’s good about it

Gorilla floss is four times stronger than regular floss. I frequently use it in the practice when doing crowns and cementation. There’s a critical time period when all the excess cement needs to be cleaned up, especially for onlays. The Gorilla floss strips all that excess away very efficiently. Regular floss just isn’t strong enough to do that job.

It’s easy to use and extremely tough. I’ve even had cases where I’ve run into trouble and haven’t been quick enough to remove the excess cement. The Gorilla floss has successfully removed the material.

The floss is waxed so it’s easy for patients to use at home. It also gives a good grip on your fingers without slipping. Gorilla floss is used in exactly the same way as regular floss; it’s just stronger so it can successfully get into tight spaces.

What’s not so good

It can be difficult to cut. There is a cutting edge on the container and it takes a bit more force to separate a useable length. If the floss is not right on the cutting edge and you pull harder than normal to cut it, you will end up with about a metre of floss in your hand.

Where did you get it
